non profit seems to work in sum cases
I've voiced similar ideas in my advocacy for Laurel Mountain and in fact started down that very non-profit path with an initial meeting that netted about $30,000 pledged to form the corporation then Buncher looked like they would also open Laurel alone with their recently purchased Hidden Valley. The rest is bad history.
I skied Whaleback on a weeknight beer league race back in the 1980s. I hope they make it along with Magic, Cochrans and Hogback in VT. Snowsports can flourish only if it is accessible to enough people to make it a practical participatory sport. That's where soul can grow.
