Saturday January 24th at Timberline.  Good snow for practicing, great instruction and you can skip the lines :)

But you would need a pair of skins. I once witnessed a guy attempt to scale the back side of Bald Knob on alpine boots and alpine skis w/ AT bindings and NO skins. It was quite the cluster. I think I still have the video around here somewhere...

don't even need skins with these. (or the madshus annums and epochs)   White Grass has some for rent.   Great climbing snow lately too. (mellow pace up sally and down heaven in less than an hour tonight)
