Life sorta happened, and may be able to take a rare skiing walkabout (skiing safari already patented) next week (break between jobs.) Driving up to Vermont with maybe a side trip to Plattekill. Any advice on last-second lift ticket savings? (Besides Liftopia.)
I'll probably ski some combo of Midd Snow Bowl, Magic and Plattekill to avoid the Prez weekend crowds. But MRG, Stowe, Jay, Smuggs, Da Bush would be top choices mid-week.
Last year I used http://www.mountainsportsclub.com/downhill.cfm?hq_e=el&hq_m=2003438&hq_l=4&hq_v=22374be229 for a few discounts and a free ticket on a Vermont/New Hampshire four day trip.
Post where you go!!!
You might want to check out Ski Hickory in NY near Lake George. I've hiked it in summer but not skied it. The entire NE has a ton of snow right now. I believe Hickory doesn't make snow and is not open every day.

I opted for a three day Liftopia deal at Mad River Glen for $84. (Today thru Fri.) Incoming extreme cold and holiday crowds will drive me south this weekend. Maybe Magic on Sat, Plattekill on Sun, Mon AM.
More detailed TR and pix to hopefully follow, but quick <edited> blurb from email (hotel wifi issues acting up):

Mad River Glen <hurt me> today. Top to bottom: either heinous bumps or tight steep trees. Plenty of exposed rocks, stumps and frozen waterfalls. Despite all the recent snow, it was pretty much skied out by today.
I'm downsizing skis tomorrow. Switching from The Ones (98mm, 184cm) to the 8.1s (81mm, 179.) They'll maneuver in the bumps and tight trees better.
Cherry Bowl is a pimple on MRG's <butt> in terms of difficulty. I got reminded of that today.

And I had just been hitting plenty of trees/chutes in Utah the week before.
Nobody from out west will believe you. There is nothing in the east that can possibly be considered difficult. They never been to MRG....or the "unmapped" side of Mansfield.

Different skis and 3 inches of new snow made a huge difference on Thursday. Real fun day.
East v West in terms of difficulty. Out West, you may slide over a cliff or into some rocks. Back East, you may slam into a tree. Neither is fun. And if you jump a frozen waterfall back East...
Typical terrain at MRG: turn around a tree into a deep mogul rut, losing 6 feet of vertical in the process. You then have about 5 feet to immediately start your next set of turns into some more mogul ruts, with trees all around. With some ice/rocks/roots likely in some of the ruts. Oh, and all in an eight foot corridor.
I was actually starting to get the hang of it occasionally. If I skied there all season for a year...
