Conditions this morning at Wintergreen were outstanding. Temps below freezing overnight and then in the lower 40's this morning produced a great, corny surface. I have heard that it takes several freeze/thaw cycles to produce true corn, and I am not sure if Wintergreen was below freezing prior to last night, but the surface sure seemed perfectly ripened to me.
