I hit enter before writing my post... duh...   anyway, the season ended and there was still amazing snow on the hill just waiting to be hiked/skinned and skied or for the snomobile race to tear up this weekend.  Especailly impressive since they hadn't made snow since late January.   Also unlike last year there was activity in and around the mountain as pads were removed from towers, guns and hydrants. Seems to be a different and much improved attitude as well by workers and the owners as they maybe have turned a corner. all of us in the valley and property owners are hoping this will improve even more as there are events planned throughout the summer at the resort.

canaan ski area was nice enough to groom right after they closed sunday. Why? who knows or cares... but it seemed like a gift to xc skiers which was well recieved last evening and I am sure for weeks to come!

Had some really nice days at Timberline. I would have skied more had they not closed early.
