The New Hampshire Governor's Council approved the expansion of Mount Sunapee today.  Despite vocal opposition from some folks who fear real estate development, the Department of Natural Resources earlier and now the Governor's Council approved the expansion.  On the other hand, the current operators of the resort will donate several dozen acres of wilderness) previously owned by a logging company) to ensure the land is protected.

Major expansion of the Balsams to the North is also proceding with bureaucratic chores.

What made this winter so "creepy"?  Were there homeless people lurking in the woods just off the trail?  Were you getting pawed on by over-amorous lifties?  Did random old men walk up to you and ask if you wanted some candy?  What happened up there in Bernie-land?
