I missed this when it happened, I guess sometime in mid-April 2016.  Tom Wallisch slid on a rail at Seven Springs that was 424' long and set a world record.  It sounds kind of goofy, but apparently was it is really difficult for even a highly accomplished park rat/X-Gamer to remain balanced that long on a rail.  It took him something like 400 tries and four days to finally ride the full length of a very long rail they built for his record attempt that contained something like 10,000lbs of metal.

Pretty cool. I'm impressed they found the snow to do that in the middle of April!

Last day at Appalachain they lined up a bunch of rails and boxes and had an ultimate rail box grind contest.  Probably about 100 feet of features to skid across.  Was fun and painful to watch.  That's gotta hurt hahahaha!
