Didn't think that all this liquid snow was going to allow much skiing for a while, but a friend and I had cleared Wednesday morning just in case.  The rains were stopping and the forecast looked OK the night before, so we decided to head for Whitetail.

We arrived in time for the rope drop.  After a few scattered drips and drops, the rain quit.  The surface was actually just a bit hard for our first few runs but turned into hero snow by about 9:15 or so.  We skied every run from Velvet (via PeePaw's Path off Ledgewood) to Farside.  All in all, pretty danged good ... actually, pretty danged excellent considering the past week's weather.  Thin spots were probably most abundant on Snow Dancer, and we had to be careful in places on Angel Drop, Farside and Bold Decision ... but we were skiing!

Thanks yet again to mountain crews at Whitetail, Liberty (where we skied the week before) and elsewhere for stockpiling a month ago the snow we skied on earlier this week.
