Since I haven't been rattling the weather cage lately I've been In Winter Park.
A hike-to ridge to drop some short steep lines. About a 30 minute hike/skate. Pretty fun with the school ski club including the leader's 6th grade son. Pretty good conditions today, though it opened yesterday and 100s have already been on it. A long double-track runout that was pretty rutted and bumped up. Not sure it was worth it, but it was worth it.
Way to get after it Camp. Sometimes it's hard to justify hiking to ski when there are thousands of acres of yet-to-be-explored lift served all around you. But when it feels right, do it! Hike-to terrain is not a concept we get to experience a lot in the mid-Atlantic ;-)
