Parents with 4th or 5th graders might want to consider getting a PA 4th&5th Grade Passport. Price is $35 before Dec. 1 and it's open to residents of any state. When going with an adult who also buys a lift ticket, can use the passport to get up to 3 day tickets at a pretty long list of PA ski areas/resorts including the 7S trio, Whitetail/Liberty/Roundtop, Blue Knob, Montage, and Elk.

Great program, I wish other states or commonwealths would do it. Had it the last two years -- we didn't use it as much as I had hoped but still very worth it.

A few other states have Passports for kids.  The newest one is for WV.  Also exists in MN and New England states.  I've also found special programs by individual ski areas, mostly for elementary school kids.  Most don't have a residency requirement.

Wintergreen started a deal for 5th and 6th graders in 2018-19.  It's listed on a webpage but no details.

The program in NY State is for 3rd and 4th graders.

Vail Resorts has a program called Epic SchoolKids that's only for locals in Colorado, Utha, or near W-B.

The deadline for the lowest price for the PA Ski Passport is approaching.  There is a giveaway of skis or snowboards for the first 60 kids to reach 5 days using a PA Snowpass.

"Three Days Left to Save $5 On Your Snowpass

The time to get your Snowpass is now! Skiing for free is a great deal but there are only 3 days left to purchase your Snowpass for the lowest processing fee! The fee increases on December 1 by $5. This program offers FREE lift tickets to 4th and 5th grade students that ski or snowboard in Pennsylvania (and best of all you don't have to live in PA)!  And, as an added incentive this year, the first 60 skiers and snowboarders to reach five days on the mountain with their Snowpass will win a FREE special Edition pair of Gilson Youth Skis or Snowboards."

Yes, as do other states.  Some are listed earlier in this thread.

There is also the EpicKids program in Colorado, Utah (Park City), and at W-B.  But the deadline for those programs was back in October.
