In celebration of 50 years, the family who have been in charge of Sugar Mountain for a lot of that time are featured in a 30-min video that's just been released.  There is a link on the Sugar website.  The video gets into the early days of straight skis and double chairlifts.  In 2011, Gunther Jochl became the sole owner.  There has been a lot of investment in the last 5-6 years.  With the installation of a 6-pack chondola in 2015 and the addition of terrain, Sugar entered a new phase.
