Rob Lipton learned that there was a ski area known as “Blue Mountain Ski Area” that operated from the late 1940s to mid 1950s in Summit Station, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Note that this is different than the active Blue Mountain Resort that currently operates in Palmerton, Pennsylvania.
Rob contacted the Schuylkill County Historical Society to learn more about Blue Mountain Ski Area. He learned that the site is known as Klauser Farm, and is located south on Somerhill Road in Summit Station, PA. It originally had a rope tow lift.
