Turning the slopes from green to white will be a little bit greener this year at Camelback Resort, as the Pennsylvania ski area has installed 110 new low-energy snow guns. The resort expects that the more efficient guns will reduce the ski area’s energy consumption and eliminate the use of 50,000 gallons of diesel fuel annually.

Camelback has also extended its partnership with Burton Snowboards and Salomon Skis, becoming the only resort in Pennsylvania to be considered a Burton’s Women’s, Adult, Youth, and Freestyle Learn to Ride Center. 150 Burton LTR boards with proprietary Stiletto bindings designed specifically for women have been added to Camelback’s rental fleet. Over 2,000 pairs of front-entry Salomon ski boots have also been purchased, and nearly 700 pairs of X-Wing 500 series skis.

A Prinoth Bison X terrain park groomer has been purchased, and lighting has been enhanced on the Oak Grove Halfpipe.
