The Indy Pass is back on sale for a limited time, offering up to two days of access at over 230 independent ski resorts across three continents. Thirty new locations have recently joined the Indy network, including Pennsylvania’s Bear Creek Resort. Unlike mega passes like Epic and Ikon, which focus on high-profile resorts within corporate networks, the Indy Pass spotlights smaller, independently operated ski areas, providing an economical option for skiers and snowboarders to explore a variety of destinations.

The pass is available in two versions: the Base Pass ($419 for adults, $239 for kids) with blackout dates, and the Indy+ Pass ($539 for adults, $299 for kids) which allows unrestricted access. Skiers holding season passes at participating resorts may qualify for the discounted Indy AddOn Pass, which opens access to all partner resorts in the network.

The Mid-Atlantic region offers a range of destinations through the Indy Pass, including Ski Big Bear, Montage Mountain, Shawnee Mountain, Ski Sawmill, Tussey Mountain, Blue Knob, Wisp, Canaan Valley, Bryce Resort, Massanutten, Wintergreen, Winterplace, Hatley Pointe, Cataloochee, and Ober Mountain. In addition to downhill ski areas, the Indy network also includes cross-country facilities such as West Virginia’s White Grass Touring Center.

Recent additions to the Indy Pass lineup include Loveland in Colorado, Bear Valley in California, and 12 resorts in Innsbruck, Austria.

“Indy Pass now has over 230 resorts on three continents, and you can expect our remarkable growth to continue,” said Indy Pass Director Erik Mogensen. “Our mission and values command our support of independent ski areas and will continue to drive every decision we make, including not overselling the pass.”

With restricted sales, the Indy Pass is expected to sell out quickly for the 2024-2025 winter season.

I bought one for the first time, to supplement my Epic Local pass. I hope I get a chance to check out Wintergreen and Massanutten this season, as well as a few other spots. Grandby Ranch in Colorado is included and I enjoy them. Think Hidden Valley on a Colorado scale, which is welcome for my level of skiing.

Grandy Ranch is a gem. No crowds nice little area.

I should like the Indy pass, but I feel it is a Midwest or Northeast product. Out West the areas are just too far apart to make it worthwhile
